IOF Shoots Palestinian Boy, Arrests Dozens of Others in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot a Palestinian boy today during confrontations in the town of Kafr Aqab, north of Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds). Wafa news agency reported the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) as saying that the IOF shot the 17-year-old Palestinian boy with live bullets, adding that he was taken to the hospital afterwards. On the other hand, the IOF arrested at least 25 Palestinian civilians in the West Bank during the past 24 hours, including two women, a child and several freed captives. In a joint statement, Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society (PPS) said that most of the arrests took place across the governorates of the West Bank, adding that the IOF continue to carry out extensive raids and arrest sprees, which are always accompanied by attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalizing and destroying the homes of Palestinians. The IOF have arrested more than 10,200 Palestinia n civilians across the governorates of the West Bank (including Al-Quds), since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip, the statement added. The IOF continues to implement systematic arrests, as one of its most prominent established policies, which escalated in an unprecedented manner after October 2023, not only in terms of the number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
