Amy Pope, Director General of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), met with Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, at the organisation's headquarters. The Permanent Representative highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Bahrain and the IOM in developing strategies, programmes, and initiatives focused on training, capacity building, and awareness campaigns. These efforts aim to enhance the protection of migrant workers and support global efforts to combat human trafficking, within the framework of Bahrain's strategic partnership with various UN agencies. Amy Pope commended Bahrain's efforts in combating human trafficking and in protecting and supporting migrant workers through a range of services and initiatives.
