Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al Sudani and General Lucas Schroers, Commander of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) mission in Iraq, discussed security developments in the region. During the meeting, Al Sudani underlined the importance of developing bilateral cooperation between the mission and the Iraqi armed forces in areas of training and information coordination, after the end of the international coalitions mission in Iraq, in a way that enhances security and helps stabilize the region. A statement by the Iraqi Prime Minister said that the two sides reviewed the missions efforts and its cooperation with Iraqi security institutions in the field of training and in the field of intelligence coordination towards pursuing the remnants of ISIS elements. At the beginning of this year, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the success of the negotiations with Washington and the agreement to form a supreme military committee to formulate a specific and clear timetable that determines the duration of the presence of international coalition advisors in Iraq.
