The Israeli occupation forces refused Thursday to coordinate the entry of medical teams affiliated with the emergency polio vaccination campaign into areas east of Salah al-Din Street in the southern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the campaign was scheduled to launch Thursday to Khan Yunis Governorate and areas south of the Strip where a large percentage of the targeted group of children are located, but the occupation forces refused to coordinate the entry of the campaign teams into areas south of the Strip. The vaccination campaign completed its first phase Wednesday, which included the central governorate in the Gaza Strip, during which about 190,000 children were vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine.
