Manama, The Jaafari Endowments Directorate has issued a circular to religious preachers, reiterating the importance of distancing religious platforms from political activity. The circular stated this was guided by the legislative framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is underpinned by the National Action Charter and the Constitution, and the outcomes of the National Consensus Dialogue. Citing the statements issued by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, the directorate stressed the importance of upholding national responsibility and strengthening social cohesion by ensuring religious activities remain free from political influence.
