Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has warned of the continued aggression against the Gaza Strip and the unilateral Israeli occupation measures that undermine the chances of achieving peace based on the two-state solution, including settlement and its expansion, settler terrorism, land confiscation, and the danger of expanding the war to Lebanon as well. This came during the meeting that Safadi held with the Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib in Brussels. During the meeting, the Jordanian minister condemned the occupation's ongoing and continuous aggression against the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of launching a real effort that leads to the implementation of the two-state solution as the only way to achieve security, stability, and peace in the region, and in a way that embodies the independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Safadi stressed the need for the international community to play an active role in stopping the ma ssacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the most recent of which is the massacre in the Mawasi Khan Yunis area and the Nuseirat camp massacre. For her part, the Belgian Foreign Minister affirmed the continuation of work to reach a permanent ceasefire and implement the two-state solution as a way to achieve security and peace. During the meeting, the two ministers also discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Source: Qatar News Agency
