Jordan's King Abdullah II stressed, during a phone call he received from US President Joe Biden on Monday, the need to de-escalate the situation in the region and reach a comprehensive calm that prevents it from sliding into a regional war. The Jordanian King noted, during the call, that reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire and ending the catastrophe in Gaza is the immediate step that must be taken to protect the security of the region and prevent further war and conflict. He also stressed the need to stop all escalatory steps and respect and implement international law according to unified standards.
