Jordanian Foreign Minister Stresses Need to End to Impunity of Israeli Occupation

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi stressed Friday the necessity of putting an end to the impunity of the Israeli entity, after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) announced its advisory opinion on the legal consequences of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories since 1967. Al-Safadi said, in a post on the X platform, that "Israels reaction to the International Court of Justices ruling and the Knessets decision to prevent the realization of the Palestinian peoples right to freedom proves their complete disregard for international law," stressing that the war crimes committed by the occupation must stop and be held accountable for them. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) had confirmed, in a decision issued earlier, that "Israel is obligated to end its presence in the occupied Palestinian territories as soon as possible," considering that "Israels occupation of the Palestinian territories is a de facto annexation."
