Geneva, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), met Gilbert Houngbo, Director-General at International Labour Organization (ILO), on the sidelines the 112th International Labour Conference. The minister highlighted Bahrain's efforts, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing legislation regulating the labour market and implementing projects aimed at enhancing its stability, sustainability and growth, and achieving benefits for the three production parties. The meeting also discussed strengthening technical cooperation between Bahrain and the ILO to contribute to strengthening the labour market and developing human resources to increase adaptability to the changes in emerging job patterns. Minister Humaidan touched on the implementation of many initiatives to enhance social p rotection for workers and develop national labour legislation in line with international labour standards.
