Manama: The new board of the Lamea Association has been announced with Shaikha Dhowa bint Khalid Al Khalifa appointed as Chairperson. The board includes Mohammed Kamal as Vice Chairman, Fatima Al Bastaki as Treasurer, and members Fatima Al Majed, Yacoob Al Hamar, Nareen Agha, and Luay Al Alawi. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, underscored that the ministry, through the National Youth Empowerment Plan, aims to prepare Bahraini youth to take on the responsibility of shaping the future and recognising their role in the sustainable development of various sectors in Bahrain. She noted that the ministry introduced several pioneering programmes, including the national project Lamea, whose graduates have become inspiring national models. The minister noted that with the formation of the new board of directors, the Lamea Association will enter a new phase focused on implementing various projects and initiatives, particularly the national project Lamea. Tawfiqi emphasised that the new board wil l have an opportunity to unite Bahrain's most distinguished youth, providing a platform for the development of their skills, the exchange of ideas, and the advancement of their role in national development. She underscored the ministry's commitment to working closely with the board to achieve their objectives and to create a generation of youth leaders equipped to make significant contributions to the Kingdom's advancement.
