Doha: The Lusail International Circuit (LIC) announced that it will host the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Karting Championship Nations Cup from December 17-21. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the LIC said that this builds on the tremendous success of last year's championship. It added that this thrilling event brings together the top karting talent from across the MENA region straight to the State of Qatar, the heart of motorsports in the region. The statement said that the 2024 edition promises even more adrenaline-fueled action and fierce competition, along with providing a platform for drivers to display their skills on an international stage. Racers will compete across six categories, ranging from Micro Max (ages 8-11) to DD2 Masters (31+), showcasing the depth of karting talent in the MENA region. Last year's event saw 165 drivers from 15 countries compete, with Morocco emerging as the MENA Nations Cup winner, while the United Arab Emirates and Qatar secured 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
