Qatar Railways Company "Qatar Rail" has announced the start of operation of the Lusail Central Station on the Orange Line of the Lusail Tram Network for use by the public as of yesterday, bringing the number of Lusail Tram stations operating within the Network’s current trial operation phase to 7 stations.
The Lusail Central Station will serve the neighboring residential areas and the Place Vendôme commercial complex located near the station when it opens in the future.
The trial operation phase of the Lusail Tram, which started this year, included the Orange Line, which covers Marina Station, Marina Street, Yacht Club, Splendid and Energy City South, in addition to the Legtaifiya station, which is the switch station with the Doha Metro and allows tram users to continue their journeys on the metro network.
