Karate Federation Media - Maryam Bisharat, a player in the national karate team, won the bronze medal in the World League Championship held in Croatia. Basharat won the bronze medal in the junior competition, 61+ kg, after defeating her Lithuanian competitor in the first match, and played for the bronze medal and defeated her Maltese counterpart. Coach Amin Basharat confirmed that the matches Basharat played were not easy and were against strong opponents from France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, and Lithuania. Palestine participated in a delegation that included coach Amin Bisharat and player Maryam Bisharat.
