The jury commission of the award of Arab Housing and Construction ministers' council continued its meeting to consider best integrated housing project that achieves its objectives in one of the Arab countries, under the title of Arab housing project with identity. In a statement on Tuesday, Arab League stated that the three-day commission's meeting that kicked off on Monday will keep considering the award so as to encourage the spirit of competitiveness and creativity among Arab architects, engineers, and technicians to derive practical solutions from their artistic, architectural, and engineering heritage in particular, and the Arab-Islamic architectural and engineering heritage in general. The award aims to urge the Arab young generations to learn and recognize the principles of Arab Islamic architecture to encourage innovation and advancement in this field through leaning on heritage terminologies, in pursuit of adapting cutting-edge technologies to the underpinnings of architecture, as well as Arab and Islamic city, the statement highlighted. The statement added that the winners will be announced during the meeting of the executive office of the Arab ministers of housing and construction council due to be held next October.
