Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met today, Friday, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is currently visiting Lebanon. During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region. A statement by the Lebanese government said that the Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed during the meeting his country's keenness and support for Lebanon in the face of Israeli aggression, noting that Tehran will launch a diplomatic campaign to support Lebanon, also calling on the Organization of the Islamic Conference to hold an urgent meeting.
