Doha: HE Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met today with HE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye, Yasin Ekrem Serim, who is visiting the country. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and enhance them, especially in the field of development projects in various countries of the world, and developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the latest developments in the joint mediation to end the war on the Strip. They also tackled a number of topics of common interest. The two sides expressed their deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, and stressed the need to double regional and international efforts to address them. They pointed to the growing cooperation in various fields, especially humanitarian ones, and drew attention in this context to the Qatari-Turkish aid ship that carried about 1,900 tons to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in May.
