Doha: The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the Building and Wood Workers' International (BWI), organized the Migrant Community Leaders' Forum on Monday, titled "Sustaining Dialogue and Cooperation". This initiative aims to perpetuate constructive dialogue to enhance the work environment. The forum highlighted the Ministry of Labour's efforts in enhancing and protecting workers' rights through educational campaigns about labour legislation, dispute resolution methods, and the role of joint labour committees in improving the work environment, as well as the mechanisms for inspecting work sites. The forum was attended by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Labour Shaikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani and General Secretary of the Building and Wood Workers' International (BWI) Ambet Yuson, along with representatives of international labour unions and federations, in addition to the representatives of migrant worker communities in Qatar.
