Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) held Thursday an introductory meeting for school students joining the first summer environment club, which will be held from Jun. 30 to Jul. 18. MoECC's Director of Public Relations and Communication Department, Mohammed Ahmed Al Dhahi discussed the details of the clubs vision and objectives, indicating that its goal is to deepen environmental awareness among young people, instill a culture of environmental sustainability, and introduce the Qatari environment in its marine and terrestrial aspects. He explained that the program includes many workshops and lectures presented by the Ministry's experts in addition to many external visits that contribute to introducing these young people to local plants in their natural habitats, and the goals of sustainable environmental development in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
