MOEHE Honors Graduates of Tomoh Program 2024

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education honored Thursday Qatari graduates of Tomoh program 2024. Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Al Ruwaili and Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Affairs at the MOEHE Dr. Harib Mohammed Al Jabri honored the 185 new graduates during the introductory meeting organized by the MOEHE on this occasion. During the event, Director of the Educational Guidance Department at the MOEHE Maryam Nauman Al Emadi made a presentation on the importance of the teacher's role in creating the future generation, in human development, and involving students in the process of learning and development within the classroom, and in professional development, stressing everyone's pride in the teaching profession as a profession of raising generations. She also addressed the necessity of proper planning for the educational process and creating the appropriate environment for it. In this context, she reviewed the quarterly and daily plans and the conte nts of each, and the importance of the teacher working to develop themselves on the personal and practical levels, and benefiting from the guidance of mentors, pointing out that the educational journey is enjoyable and requires an inspiring teacher. In turn, Director of the Training and Development Center at the MOEHE Iman Salman Al Mohannadi provided an explanation of the journey of the graduate of the "Tomoh" program at the center, reviewing the programs offered by the center, with a full explanation of the goals, philosophy, outcomes, and partners of each of them. She also noted the Qatari Teachers Fellowship Program (Khebrat), which the MOEHE celebrated its first batch after their return from the Republic of Finland, where, over a period of two months, they learned about the educational experience there and acquired educational skills that they applied in the classroom. For her part, Alam Othman Al Olan, from MOEHE's Human Resource Department, made a presentation on how to apply for jobs and the options available in this regard, while student Sayyida Hadi Saleh Al Mansour praised in a speech on behalf of her fellow graduates of the "Tomoh" program, stressing that renaissance and development are only achieved through hard work. She said that the MOEHE's sponsorship of this honoring ceremony reflects its interest in the education system and its outcomes. In a press statement, Student Guidance Consultant in the Ministrys Scholarships Department Amal Hamad Al Mojil stressed the importance of the "Tomoh" program in terms of attracting Qatari students who wish to join the teaching profession. She indicated that the goal is to graduate educationally and scientifically qualified human cadres to meet the needs for teaching positions in the educational field, explaining that those who have graduated since the launch of the program in 2010 reached around 1,200 graduates, while the required percentage of high school students to be accepted into it, among other conditions, is 70 percent. Sponsored by the MOEHE, in co ordination with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB), and the College of Education at Qatar University, the Tomoh program is concerned with attracting students to the teaching profession after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in education in various scientific and literary specializations.
