Doha: The National Statistics Center, in cooperation with the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat), is organizing a workshop on the System of Environmental-Economic Accounts for Water (SEEA-Water), starting Sunday until May 23. This workshop aims to present and explain the GCC Statistical Centers form on the SEEA-Water and present the optimal method for filling it out, present the experiences of the GCC in providing statistics in this regard, and discuss the challenges and solutions in monitoring these topics. The workshop focuses on the topics of hybrid water supply and uses accounting, the hybrid account for secondary and supplementary sanitation activities, the hybrid self-consumption water and sanitation supply account, state accounts for consumption of shared water services, national expenditure accounts on wastewater treatment management, wastewater management financing accounts, and asset accounts.
