Manama, The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) invites all individuals with economic and commercial activities and entities who are not yet registered with the NBR and exceeded or expected to exceed 37,500 BHD to join the workshops conducted by the NBR, to benefit from learning more about the VAT registration criteria and the implementation process to ensure effective implementation and compliance. The NBR announced that it will hold a "VAT Registration" workshop which will be conducted on July 30. The workshop will cover the topics of VAT fundamentals, highlighting the requirements for VAT registration and the mechanisms of calculating the mandatory threshold. It also focuses on the process of VAT registration and the concepts of VAT invoicing and submitting VAT returns, which will be presented by NBR specialists who will also provide participants with the opportunity to inquire and receive answers on the spot, to allow general clarity and build an extensive understanding of VAT. The NBR confirms that these workshops, conducted for audience participation, are part of NBR's priorities in spreading knowledge of the importance of mandatory registration for VAT, especially for non-registered businesses, to avoid any legal consequences that may result from late registration. The NBR urges those who are interested in joining the workshop to fill out the available form on the website (www.nbr.gov.bh), which will allow NBR representatives to communicate with the workshop registrants and share relevant details regarding it along with other upcoming workshops. For inquiries related to VAT, our call center can be reached 24/7 on 80008001, or by email at vat@nbr.gov.bh, in addition to leveraging the information available on NBR's website (www.nbr.gov.bh).
