Qatar's beach volleyball team (Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan) is set to kick off its journey in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 facing Italy (Paolo Nicolai and Samuele Cottafava) on 28 July. The team will play its second match on 29 July against Sweden (David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig), while the last match within Pool A will see Qatar facing Australia (Mark Nicolaidis and Izac Carracher) on 1 August. During the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the duo Younousse and Tijan claimed a bronze medal. Qatar's beach volleyball team has managed to bring great achievements since 2014, placing them at the forefront of the Arab and Asian classifications. The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) ranked the team among the top ten worldwide. They also won two gold medals during the Asian Games Jakarta Palembang 2018 and Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.
