Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al Maliki discussed on Tuesday with Chairperson of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva ways to develop the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Al Maliki stressed during the meeting the importance of developing and consolidating bilateral relations by signing protocols and agreements in various fields, especially in the economic and tourism sectors.
He added that Palestine wishes to further advance its relations with Uzbekistan to a strategic partnership and not just a historical one.
On her part, Narbaeva addressed Uzbekistan's distinctive relations with Palestine and the country's firm position in supporting decisions related to Palestine in international forums.
She moreover expressed the importance of developing relations between the two countries and their people in a way that serves the future partnership.
