Palestinians Have Nowhere to Go in Gaza Strip, Says OHCHR

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), on Tuesday, said that its very alarmed by the new evacuation orders issued by the Israeli occupation army to the Gazans several of whom have been subject to forced displacement multiple times. In a statement, OHCHR pointed out that on Jul. 7 the Israeli occupation army issued orders to civilians in areas of central Gaza, including Al Tufah and Al Daraj area to immediately evacuate and head to the west of the city, amid the high-intensity bombardments on south and west of Gaza ,which hit the same areas to which the Gazans were ordered to move. On Monday, the Israeli occupation army issued a statement confirming that it had targeted the UNRWAs headquarters west of Gaza enclave, the area which the Gazans were also ordered to head to once again, the statement highlighted. OHCHR affirmed that in most times these orders become confusing, as people moved to areas where military operations were ongoing, highlighting that it had repeatedly expressed concern about the evacuation orders being issued by the Israeli occupation army. The statement warned of rapid deterioration of the civic system throughout the Gaza enclave, generating massive negative impacts on the protection of the Palestinians and humanitarian operation in Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire.
