The Chinese shooter, Yu Qi, won the gold medal in the shooting competition (men's 10-meter air rifle) held today at the shooting center in Chateauroux, south of the French capital, in the 33rd Summer Olympic Games (Paris 2024). The 24-year-old Chinese archer, making his Olympic debut, outperformed the Italian Federico Nilo Maldini, who finished in second place and won the silver medal. The bronze medal went to his fellow European champion, Paolo Mona. The Chinese duo, Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao, won the first gold medal for China at the Paris Olympics in the mixed team event of the 10-meter air rifle shooting competition.
