Brussels, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the President of Customs, led Bahrain's delegation participating in the 60th meeting of the North Africa, Middle East, and Near East Region of the World Customs Organisation held at the organisation's headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, the Chairman of Qatar's General Authority of Customs, chaired the session. The meeting discussed topics of common interest and emphasised the importance of the regional technical attaché's role. It also highlighted the necessity of establishing a joint committee within the region to develop a formal mechanism for submitting special reports by technical committee representatives from the region to the organisation.
