Gaza - Ma'an - The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that Israeli soldiers were killed and wounded when its members detonated a missile left behind by the Israeli army on two Merkava tanks in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City. Al-Qassam said in a statement via Telegram that its fighters "confirmed, after returning from the battle lines, that a missile left behind by the enemy had detonated in two Israeli Merkava tanks near the 17th roundabout in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, south of Gaza City." "A number of occupation soldiers were gathering around it, and they were killed and wounded," she added. The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said, "After our resistance fighters returned from the battle lines, we confirm that a force of occupation soldiers were killed and wounded after a missile from the enemy's remnants exploded in two Merkava tanks surrounded by a number of soldiers, near the 17th roundabout in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, south of Gaza City."
