Qatar Chairs Committee of GCC Civil Service and Administrative Bodies Ministers and Heads

Doha: The State of Qatar chaired on Tuesday the 20th meeting of the committee of GCC ministers and heads of civil service and administrative bodies. HE President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau in the State of Qatar, Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, chaired the meeting at the Sheraton Grand Doha Hotel, with the participation of Their Excellencies and Highnesses the GCC civil service ministers and heads. HE Al Khalifa, who is also the Secretary-General of the National Planning Council, stressed the continuation of work to achieve common goals in the fields of civil service and administrative development, noting that these meetings represent a model of fruitful cooperation and coordination among the GCC countries, in line with the rapid developments in the world. He pointed out that the GCC countries' exchange of expertise is a major tributary to the success of efforts to achieve distinguished government performance. Meanwhile, HE Secretary General of the Cooperation Counc il for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, extended his highest thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who chairs the current session of the GCC Supreme Council, for the continuous support and blessed efforts in collaboration with Their Majesties and Highnesses, the GCC leaders and for the continuous assistance for the joint Gulf action process. His Excellency praised the meeting's deliberations on developing civil service bodies and the best practices adopted in developing human cadres. Their Excellencies and Highnesses were briefed on the agenda topics, primarily the updates of the GCC strategic civil service and human resources development initiatives, and GCC initiative on joint training programs and workshops. The meeting also tackled several topics in the fields of civil service and administrative development, in a bid of investing in human capital and the mechanism for implementing the practical training and expert exchange project for the year 202 4.
