Doha, September 14 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) has completed around 40 percent of a residential village project for those affected by the 2022 flash flood in the Naseerabad district of Pakistan's Balochistan province. The project, which comes with the support of donors in Qatar, is part of Qatar Charity's ongoing efforts to provide shelter for the vulnerable in disaster-stricken and crisis-hit regions. The project is expected to provide safe housing for 125 affected families upon its full completion in March of next year. This project is part of a series of model villages and towns that Qatar Charity aims to establish for disaster and crisis victims worldwide to provide dignified living conditions and alleviate their suffering through essential shelter and services. This residential village will consist of 125 housing units. Each unit, covering 90 square meters, will have two rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Qatar Charity selected Naseerabad for the construction of the residential village, recognizing it a s the district hardest hit by the floods that ravaged Balochistan. The floods inflicted severe damage on infrastructure and homes, displacing hundreds of families. Earlier this year, Qatar Charity constructed 12 homes in the Khairpur district of Pakistan's Sindh province for the families affected by the 2022 floods. (QNA) Source: Qatar News Agency
