Doha: The Qatar Scouts and Guides Association organized an introductory meeting for the leaders of the scouting teams at various levels, with the aim of presenting its plan of activities and programs for the year 2024-2025, and emphasizing the importance of implementing the scouting curricula. Commissioner General of the Qatari Association of Scouts and Girl Guides, Jassim Muhammed Al Hardan said that the aim of this meeting was to discuss the associations aspirations, objectives and future plans, the importance of keeping pace with scouting activities and programs for the target group from the various scouting stages, and to emphasize the necessity of implementing scouting curricula. The Commissioner General stressed the need to improve the image of the Scout Movement by creating programs and activities that contribute to communication with society, as well as interaction with national, Arab and international occasions and days, so that the Scout becomes active and connected to his local and international reality. He also stressed the importance of preserving the scouting traditions that are based on the Promise and Law, the small group system, the life of seclusion, the Hobby Badge system, sufficiency, graded, and engaging programs. Within the program of the meeting, Commander Hamad Al Omari spoke about the subject of forming and managing the scout group and the methods of attracting new members, applying scout traditions and activating the role of the group in serving and developing the community. Scout Leader Ghanim Abdulrahman Al Kuwari also stressed the necessity of applying the scout curricula, which are the result of years of diligent work in development, experimentation and study in the scout field.
