Doha: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced the State of Qatar's participation in 2nd edition of the Republic of Ingushetia's international Holy Quran award competition which is due to be held during May 25 to 27. The contender Omar Mubarak Al Haswan Al Marri will represent the State of Qatar in this competition in the field of memorizing the entire Holy Qur'an accompanied by Fahd Ahmed Al Mohammed as chairman of the delegation. The contest is held under supervision of the charitable society of the Islamic Republic of Ingushetia of the Russian federation, with the participation of contenders from several countries worldwide who will compete in the awards of memorization and recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Director of the Department of Religious Call and Guidance, Malallah Abdul Rahman Al Jaber said the Ministry of Awqaf is committed to participating in the international Holy Qur'an contests, highlighting that the Qatari young people are renowned for powerful memorization of the Holy Qur'an , in terms of recitation and reading, applauding the previous participations of the Qatari youngsters in numerous international competitions in Makkah Al Mukarramah, Malysia, Morocco, Egypt and Moscow International Quran Recitation Competition.
