Qatar Stock Exchange Index Starts Trading Wednesday Up by 1.28%

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) began Wednesday's trading with a 1.28 percent increase in the index, adding 134.11 points and rising to a level of 10,602 points, supported by various sectors.

QSE figures attributed the recorded rise in the general index to the positive performance of the bank and financial services sector by 2.31 percent, the real estate sector by 1.16 percent, the industrial sector by 0.58 percent, the communications sector by 0.51 percent, the transportation sector by 0.41 percent, and the goods and consumer services sector by 0.06 percent. On the other hand, the insurance sector declined by 1.19 percent.

At 10:00, Qatari Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 141.765 million, distributed over 42.070 million shares, with implementation of 5,075 transactions.
