Doha: Rising Qatari tennis star Dana Khalifa claimed a remarkable double victory at the 4th Qatar Asian Tennis Championship (U-14), hosted by the Qatar Tennis Federation. Khalifa triumphed in both the girls' singles and doubles categories. In the singles final, Khalifa delivered an impressive performance, defeating Kazakhstan's Sofia Churkina 6-2, 6-3 to secure the championship. Her dominance extended to the doubles category, where she partnered with Lithuania's Ona Kildysit to outclass the Kazakh duo of Vlada Chakushina and Sofia Churkina. On the boys' side, India's Hirish Patel took home the singles title with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory over Romania's David Raducan. Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel, and Badminton Federation, Tariq Zainal expressed pride in Dana Khalifa's achievements. He also expressed looking forward to seeing more of Qatari players reach international podiums. Zainal also highlighted the significance of the tournament in fost ering talent across the region, noting that the Federation remains dedicated to organizing more events for various age groups, aiming to continuously raise the level of tennis in Qatar and across Asia.
