Doha: The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) announced the formation of Qatar's team to partake in the FIA Motorsport Games 2024, to take place in Valencia, Spain, from October 23 to 27, under the auspices of the International Automobile Federation. This came during a special event held at Lusail International Circuit (LIC) on Monday, in the attendance of QMMF President Abdulrahman Al Mannai, and CEO of LIC, Executive Director of QMMF Amro Al Hamad, along with most of team Qatar's members to participate in the upcoming games. The team consist of 7 drivers across 5 categories: F4 driver Bader Al Sulaiti, Rally 2 Gravel driver Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and his co-driver Nasser Al Kuwari, GT drivers Ghanim Al Ali and Ibrahim Abdulghani, in addition to Karting Mini driver Saif Al Obaidli and Esports GT Khalid Al Maraghi. The FIA Motorsport Games 2024 will feature over 1,000 athletes from more than 100 countries competing in 26 categories. Commenting on Qatar's participation, CEO of LIC Amro Al Hamad said that it showcases the growing passion for motor sports in Qatar and that team Qatar will seek to represent the country in the best possible way and raise its flag high. Al Hamad stressed the Qatari drivers' readiness thanks to their undergoing intensive racing, testing, and a special training camp in Europe last summer, organized by QMMF. For his part, team member competing in the Esports GT category, Khalid Al Maraghi stressed all team members' eagerness to compete and achieve positive results. Source: Qatar News Agency
