QOC Beach Games prove a huge success

Doha: The volleyball, football and basketball competitions at the second edition of the QOC Beach Games began on Saturday. The event is held from March 19-25, 2022.

Al Nosoor began their campaign at Men's Beach Volleyball event on high note beating Al Waab 2-1 while Smeisma edged past Al Marghab and Team Qatar trounced Lusail 2-0.

On the other hand, Al Ettihad Academy defeated Al Moharebeen 2-0 in the opening match of Women's Beach Volleyball event then they recorded a 2-1 victory over Al Maha.

In Men's Football event, Al Hilal hit the ground running as they defeated Al Rowad 3-1 in the opening match while Al Zakhira recorded a 3-1 victory over Al Wajba in Group (A).

In Group (B), Al Mashaf thrashed Al Doha while Cedars trounced Grenta 5-2.

Women's football event also got underway on Saturday as Team 90 defeated Al Ahli 4-0 while Al Shaqab defeated Al Gharafa 6-3.

In Women's Basketball event, Pro Sports began their campaign in the event on high note defeating Team Qatar A 9-6 then Team Qatar A trounced Sports Lab 2 16-5 in Group (A).

In Group (B), Sports Lab 1 edged past Hoops Black Ravens.

The Tournament Director Rashid Saeed Adiba lauded the huge success of the QOC Beach Games in its second edition as the sports competitions have attracted an increasing number of beach sports enthusiasts from Qatar and region.

The second edition of the QOC Beach Games brings together 600 athletes who are competing in five beach sports including Football, Volleyball, 3x3 Basketball, Swimming Marathon and Karate.

The second edition of 2022 QOC Beach Games right now receiving a solid support from a number of local organizations, including Cultural Village Katara (Official Sponsor), along with the Kobeco (Official Logistic Sponsor), A & H Sports (Official Supplier) and Elan Print (Official Supplier).
