Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange index edged lower at start of trading on Wednesday, down 7.18 points, or 0.07%, to the level of 10,259 points, compared to yesterday's closing. QSE general index saw a rise in some sectors: Transportation by 0.52%; Telecoms by 0.11%; and Real Estate by 0.07%. However, the index was weighed down by a decline in Industrials by 0.03%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.07%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.11%; and Insurance by 0.32%; and By 10:00 am, 17.963 million shares were traded in 1,588 transactions valued QR 36.901 million.
