Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 41.85 points, or 0.39%, at the start of trading on Wednesday, to reach the level of 10,684 points, compared to yesterday's closing. QSE index was supported by a rise in six sectors: Telecoms by 1.05%; Real Estate by 0.67%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.36%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.32%; Transportation by 0.23% and Industrials by 0.14%. On the other hand, Insurance declined by 0.54%. By 10:00 am, 36.497 million shares were traded in 3,386 transactions valued QR 113.663 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
