QSE Index Rises 0.70% at Start of Trading

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 73.42 points, or 0.70%, at the start of trading on Wednesday, up to the level of 10,585 points, compared to Tuesdays closing.

The index was supported by a rise in Banks and Financial Services by 1.19%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.60%; Insurance by 0.49%; Industrials by 0.37%, Real Estate by 0.28% and Telecoms by 0.07%. Transportation fell by 0.04%.

By 10:00 am, 47.243 million shares were traded in 2,856 transactions valued QR 97.808 million.
