The Qatar Youth Hostels (QYH) has launched its 3rd Tour Guide Training Program, which will run until September 7. In a statement made on Monday, Head of Public Relations and Communication at QYH Abdullah Saeed said that 13 candidates passed the interview stage and should partake in the program which consists of five stages, which includes workshops and training courses conducted in cooperation with Qatar Tourism and Qatar Museums, which is represented by the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, and the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani Museum. Participants who pass the final exam will obtain a certified tour guide license from Qatar Tourism. Saeed added that this edition aims to increase the number of Qatari youth who have tour guide qualifications and who are capable of welcoming worldwide delegations attending various international events, in collaboration with various governmental and private entities in Qatar. These guides will organize tours for visitors and introduce them to the cult ural and touristic and historical landmarks of Qatar. Source: Qatar News Agency
