Champions League winners Real Madrid will take on Europa League winners Atalanta in the European Super Cup in Warsaw, Poland, on Wednesday. This will be Real Madrid's ninth appearance in the European Super Cup, which its first official edition was held in 1973, a trophy they have won on five occasions (2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2022). Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League Final. Atalanta will be playing in their first final of this European competition.
