The Organizing Committee for National Day Celebrations has announced opening registration for the Al Meez and Al Souq events, part of the Qatar National Day 2024 activities at the Darb Al Saai venue in Umm Salal, noting that the deadline for registration is October 24. The committee added that registration is done via a designated electronic service on its website by filling out the application and meeting terms and procedures. Al Meez area consists of a serial restaurants and booths at Darb Al Saai. It aims to support emerging and entrepreneurial businesses, and enhancing the participation of Qatari youth and their community responsibility towards their country through their fruitful participation. Al Souq is a popular market at Darb Al Saai that contains stores to sell the products of the local projects of Qatari entrepreneurs. It aims to introduce the community to the national product and support it. The Qatar National Day is a national commemoration of Qatars unification by the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani. It took place on 18 December of the year 1878. Sheikh Jassim established the rules of the modern State of Qatar. In his reign, Qatar became a unified cohesive entity, and a united independent country. This day serves as an opportunity to introduce the efforts of the founders of the State of Qatar, who endured hardships and paid a heavy price for the unity of their nation. This special day is also to celebrate the founders historic accomplishments, which reaffirm the identity of the state and its history.
