Manama, The Bureau of the Council of Representatives has reiterated its appreciation for the distinguished fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait. The panel wished HM the King and HH Sheikh Mishal continued success in leading their countries towards further progress and prosperity, to achieve more complementarity and coordination within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The bureau praised the results of the recent National Assembly elections in Kuwait, stressing that they reflect the progress of Kuwait's pioneering parliamentary experience, based on integrity, pluralism and transparency, earning wide local, regional and global acclaim. The bureau reaffirmed the importance of non-interference in the domestic affairs of any country, stressing that the statement of an MP on those elections does not reflect the stance of the Coun cil of Representatives. The panel affirmed the Representatives Council's respect for all candidates and voters participating in Kuwait's elections, in accordance with the Kuwaiti Constitution, as well as the laws and regulations in place, noting that the MP had apologised for his statement during the Council's meeting. The Bureau underlined its constant commitment to the provisions of Bahrain's constitution and National Action Charter which stipulate the pivotal role of the legislative authority in supporting the national comprehensive development process, and strengthening the intra-GCC relations, in partnership with Kuwait's National Assembly and other legislative councils in GCC states, Source: Bahrain News Agency
