Russian army launched a precision strike on a Ukrainian Air Force base used for training airmen and maintenance crews, the Russian Defense Ministry said Sunday. In a statement, the Ministry added the group strike with long-range sea-launched weapons accomplished its goals and that the Ukrainian army had lost about 500 military personnel and several vehicles and cannons. The statement added the Russian army was able to repel attacks by Ukrainian forces in Zaporizhzhia, Ivanovka, and Kherson, indicating the destruction of a Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system and armored vehicles. There are conflicting reports about the battle on the ground and the extent of the losses of the two parties, with each party claiming to have inflicted heavy losses on the other, without being able to independently verify the accuracy of this information, due to the ongoing fighting.
