Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minster, Bassam Sabbagh, discussed with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Vershinin, prospects of bilateral cooperation and coordination in the world forums. The discussion came on the sideline of the works of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit. Sabbagh voiced Syria's appreciation and thanks to Russia over the support it has been offering in face of the campaigns the Western states have waged against the country and its interests. The latest developments in the Middle East, especially Israel's aggression on Palestinians along with its repeated attacks on the Syrian and Lebanese territories were also touched upon during the meeting.
