The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the welcoming of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the statement issued by the office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, on Tuesday, pertaining to the agreement between the Yemeni government and the Houthis for the de-escalation measures with respect to banking sector and Yemeni Airways, in addition to backing the efforts aimed at achieving peace and security for Yemen and its people. In the statement of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom stressed its firm and supportive position on everything that guarantees security and stability of Yemen and achieves aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people, along with the kingdom's enduring commitment to encouraging de-escalation efforts and maintaining the truce. Additionally, the statement expressed the Kingdom's hope that this agreement will contribute to bringing together the Yemeni parties to the negotiating table, under the auspices of the office of the Specia l Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, to discuss all economic and humanitarian issues. This will contribute to reaching a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis within the framework of the roadmap to support the peace process in Yemen, the statement reads.
