RiyadhSaudi Arabia experienced substantial growth in its tourism sector during the first quarter of 2024. Inbound visitor spending increased by 22.9% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching over SAR 45 billion, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Saudi Arabia also recorded a 46% year-over-year increase in its travel account surplus, reaching SAR 24 billion. This reflects Saudi Arabia's success in tourism, having been ranked first globally in 2023 for international tourist and revenue growth. The data confirmed the effective efforts made by the Saudi tourism system to achieve global leadership through the application of best practices and government cooperation, contributing significantly to the growth of the national economy.
