SCW Secretary-General honours RUW students

A batch of students enrolled at the Royal University of Women (RUW) have been honoured after taking part in regional and international competitions dealing with commercial and legal arbitration.

Supreme Council for Women (SCW), RUW board of trustees member Hala Al Ansari patronized the ceremony which was held at the university's headquarters.

The event was also attended by RUW President Professor President Professor Yusra Mouzughi Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Jean-Pierre El Asmar, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, Dr. Bettina Bastian, Head of the Law Department, Dr. Raed Al-Nimr, and members of the academic and administrative staff.

Al-Ansari when participating in these competitions, finishing third in the student commercial arbitration contest, organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration. They also finished fourth the best note on the plaintiff contest.

Student Fatima Al-Mehzaa finished eighth as the best oral pleader on behalf of the plaintiff. University students have also achieved good results in the Willem C. Vis

International Commercial Arbitration Moot, which was held in Vienna, Austria.

The RUW students have also achieved good results in the ninth Arab mock trial competition for the year 2023 in criminal law, which was organized by the Kuwaiti College of Law.

During the ceremony, the patron has also honored the University of Bahrain team for their distinguished participation in the student commercial arbitration competition organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration.
