During the meeting of the Security-Political Cabinet held last night, the ministers discussed the issue of demolishing the homes of Palestinian perpetrators of operations inside Israel and deporting their families. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for this step to be implemented immediately, saying: "Demolishing the homes of the perpetrators of the attacks is the responsibility of the Shin Bet and the army." But the deputy head of the Shin Bet pointed out that the professional assessment is that "demolishing homes is not feasible," and that this measure "will also affect the homes of Jewish attackers." Transportation Minister Miri Regev responded by saying: 'You make recommendations, but we are the political authority and this must be implemented.' For his part, Defense Minister Yoav Galant said: "I gave my instructions to study the issue, and the Shin Bet and the army must examine it." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added that the government will discuss in the coming days t he issue of demolishing the homes of the perpetrators of the operations and deporting their families.
