Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), Court of Cassation President, issued Edict (11) of 2023, on the observance of the principle of equal opportunities and gender balance in all the SJC’s various tasks.
According to the edict, the principle of equal opportunities and gender balance shall be applied while forming committees or work teams at the SJC, and representing it locally and externally, as well as in the nomination for training sessions and scholarships.
The edict also stipulates that female judges and employees shall be represented in the SJC’s Secretariat-General according to the nature of the post.
