Doha, Sahar Rashid Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, participated in the 10th meeting of the Undersecretaries Committee of the GCC Ministries of Social Development Affairs, held in Qatar. Khalid bin Ali bin Salim Al Sunaidi, GCC Assistant Secretary of Economic and Development Affairs, along with other senior officials from across the region attended the meeting. The meeting discussed strategies to enhance social security and promote balanced development across the GCC. Key topics included the 2024-2030 GCC Joint Action Strategy, which aims to unify efforts in addressing regional challenges, with a strong emphasis on supporting vulnerable groups and empowering women and youth. The meeting also reviewed progress in upholding the rights of persons with disabilities within the GCC, alongside discussions on enhancing regional and international cooperation in social affairs. The meeting concluded with several recommendations, which will be presented at the upcoming meeting of the GCC Ministers of Social Development. Source: Bahrain News Agency
